Our phones are awesome. They connect us to the world via voice, video, and text. But, relying on them too much can hurt our in-person relationships.
There's a study out that paying more attention to our phones can hurt our relationships. I'm not sure we needed a study to tell us that. It's really annoying to try and talk to somebody who checks their phone while I'm talking. There's also evidence that looking at our phones before bed makes it harder to sleep. And, don't forget about texting thumb. And, some people are straight up addicted to their phones. I'm not saying you should get rid of your phone. But, I am saying that giving your phone a break will help your relationships and your health.
